You won't go hungry at Angus Barn. The Meals start out with an assortment of finger foods brought to your table while you are deciding on what Menu selection to choose. These foods consist of two cheese spreads, one Bleu Cheese and one Cheddar Cheese and crackers. They also provide a relish tray that has Cherry Peppers, Celery, Olives (Green & BlacK0, and pickles. They also give you some garlic bread. The cheese spreads are delicious. One must be careful not to fill up before the main course arrives.
The Angus Barn Menu has a large assortment of entree selections. Steak items include Chateaubriand, Prime Rib, Filet Mignon, New York Strip, Rib Eye, and T-Bone. Any of the Steaks can be prepared in a variety of ways, for an additional up charge, such as Oscar - Crabmeat, asparagus and hollandaise Sauce to name just one.
Angus Barn Seafood selections include Maine Lobster Tail that comes straight from Maine, Giant Marinated Shrimp, Alaskan King Crab, and a catch of the day selection. Other Angus Barn entrees include Barbecued Pork Ribs, Veal Chop, Three Cheese Ravioli, Grilled Pesto Chicken, Rack of Lamb, and others. There is also a Kid's Menu referred to as the Calves Menu for the younger guests.
I ordered the Prime Rib when I dined at the Angus Barn. The Prime Rib was perfectly prepared and was very tender and delicious. The service at the Angus Barn is outstanding as well. The waiter came by our table often, keeping the table clean and clear of unwanted dishes and utensils as we dined.
After our meal, we were stuffed. So we decided to have a look around the Angus Barn Gift Shop, or Country Store, there they offer a variety of trinkets and such, and you can also buy the Angus Barn Cheese Spreads. Outside in the back of the parking lot there is a Self-Kicking Machine if you are so inclined to try it out.
Overall, Angus Barn in Raleigh, NC is an excellent place to Dine. The service is great, the food is outstanding, and the atmosphere is wonderful and cozy. I highly recommend Angus Barn.
