Benjamin's Restaurant & Raw Bar is a nice little place across from the Bay in Newport, Rhode Island. They offer a large assortment of Seafood items and Steaks. The downstairs main entrance is a small Bar with a very small dining area, but they also have an upstairs dining room. Benjamin's Restaurant and Raw Bar is a very nice place to go for dinner, and they offer Early Bird Specials that are very wallet friendly.

Benjamin's Restaurant & Raw Bar offers a variety of entrees on their Menu including Mussels, Seafood Boil that consists of Clams, Mussels, Corn on the cob, and other Seafood items, Steamed Lobster, Clams on the half shell, and much more. Benjamin's Restaurant & Raw Bar's motto is "the Home of the Mothershucker".

The Early Bird Specials at Benjamin's Restaurant & Raw Bar are hard to pass up. They offer a nice variety of items to choose from at very reasonable prices. When I visited Benjamin's Restaurant & Raw Bar, they had Steamed Lobster as one of the Early Bird Specials. It was a 1 1/2 pound Hard Shell Lobster with drawn butter for $12.95. I compared prices at a couple of places around the Bay in Newport and saw no other Restaurant offering a Steamed Lobster anywhere near this price. In fact, across the street somewhat at the Barking Crab, they were offering Steamed Lobster for around $37, which I found to be extremely offensive for how plentiful the Lobsters are in the area. Benjamin's Restaurant & Raw Bar cooked the Lobster to perfection. I also ordered ½ a dozen Raw Littleneck Clams. Unfortunately the Clams were extremely salty, and I had a hard time enjoying them.

The atmosphere is quaint, and the service is fast and friendly. They draw a good crowd in Benjamin's Restaurant & Raw Bar, and if you want to take advantage of the excellent Early Bird Specials, you should get their early.

I recommend Benjamin's Restaurant & Raw Bar in Newport, RI for an excellent prepared meal, fast and friendly service, and reasonable prices especially during the Early Bird Special hours.
