Bird-In-Hand Farmers Market & PA Dutch Crafts is located in Bird-In-Hand, Pennsylvania in the heart of Pennsylvania Dutch Amish Country near Lancaster, PA. The Bird-In-Hand Farmers Market s a large facility where you can find Farm Fresh Vegetables and Meats, and a lot of other Gift Shops, Craft Shops, Snack Shops, and Souvenir Shops. Here is a word to the wise - I found that a lot of the Crafts in the Gift Shops are not locally made, but in fact are stamped with "Made in China." However, if you pay attention and ask the Shop keepers, they will point out the locally made handmade crafts that they do have. Other Gift Shops are more of novelty Shops too.

One thing you will notice when you enter the Bird-In-Hand Farmers Market is the huge Vegetable Market. When I say huge, I don't only mean the size of the Market itself, I also mean the size of the Vegetables too. They had Farm Fresh Cabbage heads that were the size of basketballs! I have never seen Cabbage heads that big. They also have tomatoes, squash, zucchini, potatoes, turnips, etc. all grown at local Farms in the area. There is also a large Meat counter with an extensive selection of Farm Fresh Meats and eggs.

One of the best things that I enjoyed while visiting the Bird-In-Hand Farmers Market was the Soft Pretzels at the Bird-In-Hand Soft Pretzel Company. These Pretzels are about 7 inches round and very, very tasty. I could eat these Soft Pretzels all day long.

There are many Shops at the Bird-In-Hand Farmers Market that should provide something for everyone. I cannot possibly mention them all here, so I guess you will have to visit the Bird-In-Hand farmers Market for yourself. I recommend it for the Soft Pretzels and the excellent Farm Fresh Vegetables and Meats.
