The Blue Ocean Seafood Restaurant is a very large and clean Seafood Restaurant that is conveniently located off of Interstate 26 at Exit 52 in Clinton, South Carolina. They are open for Lunch and Dinner everyday except for Monday.

The Blue Ocean Seafood Restaurant is very large and probably seats about 250 or so if I had to guess. It is large and open with a vaulted ceiling and painted Murals on the walls depicting seascapes and and other nautical scenes. They also have a large waterfall fountain that adorns the front of the Restaurant. Blue Ocean Seafood Restaurant is very clean and well kept too, and the servers are friendly. They also cater to the Church crowd by providing 10% off with a Church Bulletin on Sunday. They also have several proselytizing pamphlets at the register.

We visited the Blue Ocean Seafood Restaurant on a Sunday for lunch. We were seated promptly and our drink order was taken. When they brought the drinks to us, they also served us with a bowl of hushpuppies, and a pitcher of Iced Tea, but rather than putting ice in the pitcher, they gave us a bowl of ice and a spoon. I thought this was a novel idea, which kept the Ice Tea from getting watered down. The Menu is quite large with a good selection of Seafood entrees as well as Steaks and Chicken. They also have a Calorie Watcher's Corner section of the Menu that provides healthy food alternatives for the health conscience patron. Additionally, there are Super specials offered everyday that vary. Overall, the prices are reasonable, and the Super Specials provide a good value.

I ordered the Deviled Crab which came with a baked potato and coleslaw. The Deviled Crab was good, but certainly not the best I have ever eaten. It had a slight hint of fishiness to it, but not so bad that I wouldn't eat it. The hushpuppies were very tasty, and what can you say about a baked potato? Cheryl ordered the fantail Shrimp, and she enjoyed them. They were lightly breaded and cooked perfectly. I stole a few off her plate, and I have to agree with her, they were very good.

Whether you are just passing through on Interstate 26, or if you live in the area, the Blue Ocean Seafood Restaurant is a good choice for Seafood that won't bust your pocketbook.
