Buccas Bar & Grill Highlights
I visited Buccas Bar & Grill on a Friday evening for dinner. The place is brand new, so it was obviously clean. The Bartenders were very busy and had a full Bar, and the table section was nearly 70 percent full. However, I think the service at the tables could have been better. When we arrived, we took a seat at a table and were greeted promptly with Menus and drink orders, but then it went down hill from there. The waitress forgot several things throughout the meal like utensils, napkins, and was generally unavailable whenever we looked for her. About three or four times we needed something, we had difficulty getting her attention due to her partaking in drink shooters at another table. Now don't get me wrong, I've been known to buy a Bartender or waitress a shot every now and then, but it isn't good business practice during the dinner rush hour. To be fair, it did seem to be only one waitress, and unfortunately it was ours. The jury is still out about whether she was drunk or just flighty when it came to service. Either way, we were not happy.
Buccas Bar & Grill has a good size Menu that includes Pub Grub Appetizers like Jalapeno Poppers, Fried Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, Egg Rolls, Crab Cakes, and several other options. The Menu also has entrees such as Salads, Sandwiches, Pasta dishes, Filet Mignon, Seafood dishes, Chicken, and Dry or Wet Wings. Buccas Bar & Grill also has a Lunch Menu with Burgers, Wraps, and Sandwiches. Brunch is available on Sunday Mornings too.
I ordered the French Dip Sandwich that came with a side of Au Jus, and a choice of either a cup of Soup, small Salad, or French Fries. I ordered mine with a cup of Spicy Chicken Soup. The Cup of Soup was a lot larger than I expected, and it tasted almost like a Chicken Chili, but it wasn't thick like Chili. It was unique in flavor. The French Dip was very disappointing though. It came to the Table soggy which made it fall apart as I handled it. Cheryl ordered a Ruben Sandwich that came on Marbled Rye Bread. She too was disappointed with her food due to the hardness of the bread and the small amount of meat on the Sandwich.
Buccas Bar & Grill also offers Live Music Friday & Saturday Nights. On Tuesday Nights they have Team Trivia for prizes. They also have a Bean Bag Toss game that you can take outside and play if you want. I think that when it gets warmer, the Cabana Bar might be a good place to hang out for Drinks, but I will not be eating there again.
