The Chippewa Room is a separate Restaurant that is part of Audie's Restaurant located in
Mackinaw City, Michigan. It has it's own entrance that is separate
from the main Family Dining area. This gives the Chippewa Room
a secluded feel. The Chippewa Room also has a small Bar that
is decorated with stuffed animal trophies and Indian decor and artifacts.
The Chippewa room is a fine Dining
Restaurant with a cozy atmosphere. They serve Steaks, Seafood, Pork, Prime
rib, Chicken, and other meals.
I ordered the Steak and Lobster. The
Steak was a Filet Mignon. It wasn't the best cut of Filet because it had
some gristle and fat, but overall it wasn't bad. I was disappointed in
that the food was warm but not hot when it was served. The Chippewa Room
provided us with their Beer Cheese and Crackers while we waited for out food.
The Beer Cheese is a mixture of cheddar and bleu Cheeses with Beer &
horseradish. It was pretty tasty. The meal also came with Green
beans and a dinner salad.
After our meal, we retired to the Bar to
finish the bottle of wine we ordered with our meal. The Bar is small, but
cozy and friendly. We had a couple of friendly conversations with the
bartender and staff who were very helpful and recommended a couple laces to
visit in the area.
Overall, the Chippewa Room at Audie's
Restaurant isn't a bad place. It has a very nice atmosphere and friendly
staff. The prices are a bit high though and the food could be a bit better.
