Doe’s Pita Plus Sandwich Shop is located on North Rhett Avenue in North Charleston, SC. This Sandwich Shop is in an old house north of Park Circle on the right hand side before you get to I-526.

Doe’s Pita Plus has been there since 1990 and is a favorite lunch spot of the locals. They serve large Heart Healthy Pita Pocket Sandwiches and Heart Healthy Salads, dips, and spreads. I love Doe's Tuna Salad Pita Pocket Sandwich. They make their Tuna Salad fresh, tasty, and deli style. A bonus is there is no pickle relish in their Tuna Salad either. The Pita Bread is always soft and fresh. One of these Pita Pocket Sandwiches is a meal in itself. I also like their Greek Salads. You can get a small or a large Greek Salad if you like. I am not a big eater, so I always get the small Greek Salad, which is plenty big enough for me. The Greek Salad is made up of romaine lettuce, mint, scallions, cucumbers, tomatoes, feta cheese (my favorite), black olives, and their homemade Greek Salad dressing. Believe me, this Greek Salad is filling.

They also serve Hummus. Hummus is mashed chickpeas with Tahini, lemon juice, olive oil, and garlic. It is made fresh from scratch and is great for Pita Bread dipping. Doe's Pita Plus caters and will deliver in the Peninsular Charleston Area for free if the order is for 6 lunches or more.

Doe’s Pita Plus Sandwich Shop is a great place to eat if you are Heart Healthy conscience or diet minded. Their menus are dotted with little hearts next to select menu items that symbolize Heart Healthy food. They also have Atkins Diet Trays and Party Platters too.

There is another Doe's Pita Plus Sandwich Shop location on East Bay Street in Charleston. I have not visited this location, but I am sure it is just as good as the North Charleston restaurant.
