Fiddler's Green is a Fine Dining Steak and Seafood Restaurant located on Shelter Island in the Point Loma section of San Diego. Fiddler's Green is a beautiful Restaurant decorated with a distinctive Nautical theme. Even the Restaurant's name, Fiddler's Green, is derived from a Nautical term from days of old.

As you enter Fiddler's Green, you are greeted with a wall of keels. The Restaurant is open, comfortable, and inviting. Suspended over head are many boats and ship models. Fiddler's Green also displays scaled Yacht models that were actually used for testing and construction. The tables have embedded Nautical Maps. They also have a nice Bar, and offer Live Music.

I visited San Diego recently and stumbled upon Fiddler's Green with a couple of colleagues of mine. We were pleasantly surprised with the look and feel of the Restaurant, and we found the the wait staff to be extremely courteous, and efficient. He knew his job, knew the Menu, and gave us outstanding service. I ordered the Prime Rib Fiddler's cut entree. It came with a choice of Baked or Mashed potato or Rice Pilaf, Choice of soup & Salad, and a fresh Vegetable, which was Broccoli. The Prime rib was excellent, Cooked just the way I like it. The Broccoli was perfect. It was crispy and not over cooked. You also get Bread & Butter with the entree. My Colleagues ordered the Seared Ahi which said was also very good. It was an enjoyable meal in deed, and I didn't think there prices were that bad either for San Diego.

Fiddler's Green has several other entree selections such as Alaskan King Crab, Baby Back Ribs, Australian Lobster Tails, Top Sirloin, and Shrimp Scampi. Fiddler's Green also offers a Fresh Catches of the Day such as Swordfish, Halibut, Salmon, and Ahi Tuna. The Bar also has a Menu of lighter fare and Pub Grub stuff.

I recommend Fiddler's Green for a pleasant Dining experience in the Shelter Island/Point Loma area of San Diego. The next time I visit San Diego, I certainly will return to Fiddler's Green.
