The Frat House is a place for Cheap Beer,
Hip-Hop, and Rap Music on Bourbon Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans. They have a DJ every night who spins disks.
They also have a big Dance Floor for Dancing or just showing off. During the day it is pretty subdued, but at night it gets
crowded. I went into The Frat House in the late afternoon and had a few Beers and talked to the bartender. There were only two
people in The Frat House at the time, so I decided to leave and come back later to see what they had in the evening. When I
returned, I was greeted at the door by the security team. The Frat House security team was checking IDs and checking everyone
coming in with a metal detector wand. I don't know what you are into, but if you have to check everyone with a metal detector
to keep me safe, then maybe the type of people it attracts aren't the type of folks I want to be around. I am also not
into Rap Music, so I had one Beer and blew out of there to a little safer venue. I do need to mention that the bartender was
very friendly and the Heineken was only $4.00 a bottle, which is Cheap for the French Quarter, but The Frat House isn't really
my type of place to hang out.
So, if you are under 30, you may be interested in going to The Frat House for Rap Music, the Dance Floor, and Cheap Beer on
Bourbon Street, but you'll have to leave your gun or knife at home.
