Fried Alligator Recipe

Cooking and eating Alligator is uniquely Southern and you can find it in the south from New Orleans to Memphis to Charleston, SC to Miami. Alligators are abundant throughout the South; however, they are classified as an endangered species. Do not go out and catch one and fry it up or you could be faced with a fine and or the loss of a limb. There are places you can find Alligator Meat on the internet, and a simple search will yield plenty of online shops to purchase Alligator legally.
In Charleston, SC, most seafood restaurants have Alligator on the menu. Yes, it taste like chicken, kind of, but it also has a bit of a game taste to it as well. Some have compared it to rabbit and frog legs too.
