Indigo Landing Indigo Landing is a unique Restaurant located in Alexandria Virginia. It is very large and sits on the Potomac River across from Ronald Reagan National Airport runway and next to the Washington Sailing Marina. Indigo Landing is a very nicely decorated Restaurant and Lounge with a very nice view of the Potomac River and several Washington DC Monuments. Very elegant, Indigo Landing is also pricey.

Indigo Landing offers a Lunch Menu
, a Dinner Menu, and a Brunch Menu. I visited Indigo Landing in the middle of the week and had Dinner there. The view was great, and you can count the planes flying into Ronald Reagan National Airport if you are into Plane watching. The Dinner Menu includes Appetizers like Calamari, Chicken Chimichangas, Chesapeake Blue Crab Dip, and other items. The entree choices include Hickory Roasted Prime Rib of Beef, Steaks, Tequila Lime Chicken, Chipotle Roasted Pork Loin, Shrimp, Salmon, Crab, Rockfish and Swordfish. All entrees come with Chef's vegetables. They also have an assortment of salads, Soups, and Sandwiches.
I tried the Hickory Roasted Prime Rib of Beef when I dined at Indigo Landing, and I was not impressed. The cut was thin and it was full of gristle and fat, and was a bit tough. For the price I was paying for the meal, I expected a better Prime Rib experience than what I got. I also order the Skillet Steak Mushroom Caps as an "enhancement" as they call it. The Mushroom caps were good. The Chef's Vegetables were pretty tasty. The Chef's Vegetables are a grilled assortment of Zucchini Squash, Onions, Mushrooms, and Red Bell Pepper. I also got a small basket of bread that had three different types of rolls in it. One of teh rolls I really liked had pumpkin seeds in the crust.
I cannot recommend Indigo Landing. Although the view is nice, and the Restaurant is classy and elegant, the food wasn't that special, and does not warrant the prices they are asking.
