Jackson Harness Raceway
Jackson Harness Raceway located in Jackson Michigan is a very small and almost unknown Horse Track that has Satellite Wagering. Located inside the Jackson County Fairgrounds, Jackson Harness Raceway is the worst Off Track Betting venue I have ever been to. It is very dark and dingy and has no frills other than an expensive snack bar called Sulky Lounge where you can get alcoholic beverages or have dinner if you desire, but you can only drink them in Sulky Lounge. In the regular outer areas, there is no drinking.

Jackson Harness Raceway is part of the Jackson Trotting Association. Live Racing only occurs for two months in the summer, but you can bet on other Race Tracks all year. I visited Jackson Harness Raceway for a couple of hours one day and I was totally unimpressed. I'm surprised they can stay in business. Not many people were there, and the Sulky Lounge forces a 15% gratuity on all checks regardless of the size of your party. You can imagine that there weren't many folks in the Lounge either that day.
If you are in southern Michigan, there isn't another place to go unless you don't mind driving a good ways. I have visited many Horse Tracks and Off Track Wagering Facilities in my day, and I have never heard of Jackson Harness Raceway before, and now I know why.
