Jacksonville, FL is called "The Bold New City of the South". Named after General Andrew Jackson the Territory's first Military Governor.
Lately I have been seeing Jacksonville Florida, particularly the Orange Park area near NAS Jacksonville a lot. I'm not a complete stranger to the area. I have been going to Jacksonville and Jacksonville Beach since 1979 when I was in the Navy. Jacksonville, FL has a lot to offer, and I love it. During this last trip, I put in a lot of hours working, but still managed to get out and relax.

Orange Park is on the south side of Jacksonville, FL just off of I-295 near NAS Jacksonville. There you can find the Orange Park Mall, and a lot of restaurants, motels, and other shops. Traffic can get quite heavy in and around the Orange Park area on Roosevelt Blvd, Park Avenue, and Wells Road during rush hour, but Orange Park is a good location to find a motel. Just a short distance from the Interstate makes it easy to go out in any direction to sight-see or do whatever it is you want to do.
