Joe and Giuseppe Restaurant is located in the Arlington Heights Suburb of Chicago, Illinois. Joe and Giuseppe
is an authentic Italian Restaurant. It is owned and operated by a couple of
Sicilian Immigrants and started up in 1972. The food is the real deal.
It is a small Restaurant that can seat about 60 people or so. The prices are reasonable, and the food and service is excellent. The menu is large
for just a small venue and includes chicken, veal, pasta, and seafood dishes.
When I dined at Joe and Giuseppe Restaurant, I ordered one of the special dinners attached to the regular menu. The specials list had quite a bit to choose from too.
I chose the Linguini with Fresh Clams in a Red Sauce. It came with a choice of either salad or soup, either Minestrone or Escarole. You also get a basket of crusty
warm bread too. The Linguini with Fresh Clams and Red Sauce came out piping hot and it was loaded with Clams in the shell. There must have been between 18 and 24
Clams on top of a bed of Linguini in Red Sauce. The Clams were the small Vengole variety - translation - tender! I
thoroughly enjoyed this Italian meal and got so full from
all of the Clams, Linguini, Escarole, and of course my downfall, crusty bead, I was miserable.
At the end of the meal, you get a plate of "cookies". The cookies
are basically fried pieces of dough with powdered sugar sprinkled on
top. It tasted like a funnel cake and was very light and tasty.
If you find yourself in the
Arlington Heights Suburb of Chicago, then do yourself a favor and
dine at Joe and Giuseppe Restaurant. If you like authentic Italian
food, you will not be sorry.
