La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant has been in the Charleston area for many years and is not like the many Mexican Restaurants that are spamming our roadsides everyday in places like Remount Road, Ashley Phosphate Road and other areas. La Hacienda provides very good reasonably priced Mexican Food. The food comes out remarkably fast too. La Hacienda has all of the trappings of a traditional Mexican Restaurant and, unlike the Mexican Restaurant spam discussed earlier, they cater to everybody and don't just shut themselves off from the English speaking population.

La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant Highlights
There are several locations of La Hacienda Mexican Restaurants throughout the Low Country. This article is predominantly about the Rivers Avenue location in North Charleston. I have dined at other locations, and they are never as good as the Rivers Avenue location, and if you hear someone complain about La Hacienda, you will find that most of the time they are not talking about Rivers Avenue. I never go to any other location when I want to eat at La Hacienda - A lesson learned.
I have been dining at the Rivers Avenue location for over 11 years. I always order the Number 1 Combination. The Number 1 combination is one taco, two enchiladas and a choice of beans or rice. The taco and Enchiladas are made with beef, but I always get it with chicken instead. There is no extra charge for this special order, and I am always amazed that I get my food in less than 10 minutes after I order it. When you are first seated, they give you a basket of homemade tortilla chips and La Hacienda salsa. The salsa has a good flavor to it with just a hint of cilantro and lime. It isn't very hot, so just about anyone can enjoy it. If you like it hot, you can ask for their green salsa that has much more of a kick to it.
The menu is wide and varied ranging from several Nacho dishes to Carne Asada to several combination platters, etc, etc. They also serve Margaritas. The Margaritas come in sizes from regular on up to the toilet bowl size of 46 ounces.
If you like Mexican Food, served by Mexican American folks in the Charleston Area, then try the La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant located on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston.
