La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant

La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant in Goose Creek provides good reasonably priced Mexican Food. There are several locations of La Hacienda Mexican Restaurants throughout the Low Country. This article is about the Goose Creek location in the Crosscreek Shopping Center. The service is good, but not as good as the main La Hacienda Restaurant location on Rivers Avenue in North Charleston. The food comes out pretty fast, but the wait staff in Goose Creek aren't as attentive as they are at the North Charleston location either.

I usually do not eat at other La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant locations other than the Rivers Avenue location because the other ones, Goose Creek included, are never as good as their Main Flagship Restaurant in North Charleston. But we decided to try them out anyway.

I always order the Number 1 Combination when I dine at La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant. The Number 1 Combination is one Taco, two Enchiladas and a choice of beans or rice. The Taco and Enchiladas are made with beef, but I always get it with Chicken instead. The price is cheap, and the food was the same as the main Restaurant as should be expected, except that it seemed that the portion was a little smaller than the North Charleston La Hacienda location. When you first get seated, you get a basket of warm Tortilla Chips and Salsa. The Salsa has a good flavor to it with just a hint of cilantro and lime. It isn't very hot, so just about anyone can enjoy it. If you like it hot, you can ask for their green Salsa that has much more of a kick to it. Cheryl ordered the Number 21 Combination which is one Chalupa, one Burrito, and one Taco. She always orders this at the Main location and loves it, but her meal in Goose Creek wasn't as good as she expected. She particularly disliked the Rice which was cold and somewhat gummy.

The La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant Menu is wide and varied ranging from several Nacho dishes to Carne Asada to several combination platters, etc, etc. They also serve Margaritas. The Margaritas come in sizes from regular on up to the toilet bowl size of 46 ounces.

Overall, La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant in Goose Creek isn't completely terrible, but I'd rather go to the North Charleston location instead.
