The Lodge
The Lodge is one of the many Dive Pubs located on 6th Street in Austin, Texas. It is a very friendly Dive that offers Drink Specials and has friendly Bartenders. The Lodge doesn't serve food, and caters to the College Crowd, and older types such as myself. Often you can find someone hawking $1 drinks and $2 Heineken's out front. That's what got me in the door, and I had a great time once I was in the door.

The Lodge Highlights
The Lodge is a long a narrow bar that is typical of the Bars located in the old Historical Buildings that adorn 6th Street in Austin. It is not fancy, but it makes up for it in prices, and Music. They have a playlist that plays all night when there isn't the occasional Acoustic Guitar Player. The decor consists stuffed animal heads on the walls and Flat screen TVs. There is actually three separate Bars in the Lodge. Not all of them are open, but if it gets a crowd, the three Bars can handle the load.
The lodge also serves a locally made Liquor called Hideous. It is a sweet berry flavored liquor that may give Jagermeister a run for it money. It is popular with the local College Crowd. It can be consumed straight or with Red Bull just like Jagermeister.
I recommend The Lodge for friendly service and Cheap Drinks. Don't forget to try a shot of Hideous while you are there.
