Lynchburg, VA
Lynchburg is located in the center of Virginia. It is off the beaten path. There are plenty of Camping sites, Civil War Historical sites, and other scenic spots nearby. It is a good central location to stay if you want to do some Sight Seeing. Appomattox isn’t very far, and there you can see the actual house where General Lee surrendered to General Grant. There are also Caves, Smith Mountain Lake, the scenic Skyline Drive, and Natural Bridge to name a few Tourist spots that aren’t that far away. Lynchburg is also home to Liberty University.
Lynchburg, VA Information Web Sites
There aren’t many Bars in the area, probably due to the late Jerry Falwell’s influence at Liberty University. I checked out Macado’s Restaurant & Bar and had a good time there. I also visited a couple Restaurants and those reviews are also available. One of the Restaurants is the Crown Sterling. The Crown Sterling has very good food and a relaxed atmosphere. Check them out if you come to Lynchburg - I highly recommend it.
