Welcome to the Moncks Corner, SC section of Business Travel Fun. Moncks Corner is the Berkeley County Seat and is located about 25 miles North of Charleston. There is a lot of History in Moncks Corner. Moncks Corner was a major Colonial settlement area of French Protestant Huguenots. Revolutionary War Hero Francis "Swamp Fox" Marion was also born near Moncks Corner, and is buried in nearby St. Stephens at Belle Isle Plantation. There is plenty of outdoor activities one can find in Moncks Corner such as Boating and Fishing in the Rivers and Lake Moultrie, Horseback riding, and Hiking.

Lake Moultrie and the Tail Race Canal has some of the best Fresh water Fishing in the State. Catfish that weigh over 100 lbs have been caught in Lake Moultrie. Fish such as Bass and Crappie are plentiful too. There are also plenty of Antique shops and Historical places to visit, and at Mepkin Abbey, a Trappist Monastery, Revolutionary War Veteran, John Laurens is buried along with his father, Henry Laurens who was a Prisoner in the Tower of London for his support of American Independence.
