Mulate's Original Cajun Restaurant


Mulate's Original Cajun Restaurant is located on Julia Street right across from the Convention Center and Riverwalk in the Warehouse District of New Orleans. This is a tourist trap, but I still recommend it. If you like live Cajun Music and want to do a little two-stepping, then this is the place in New Orleans to do it. They serve Cajun Cuisine like Seafood Gumbo and Jambalaya, Crawfish Etouffee and they also serve hamburgers and such for the kids. This is a good place to take the family. Kids love to jump around to the fiddle and squeezebox Cajun music they offer every night. Bring your wallet though. The prices are a bit ridiculous. I had a bowl of Seafood Gumbo. It was a very small portion and cost $10.50. It was very good Gumbo however, but hardly enough to justify the price.

Still, if you come to New Orleans, then Mulate's Original Cajun Restaurant should be on your list of places to visit.
