We went to North Towne Grill & Seafood for the first time in about 5 years the other night for dinner. The Restaurant has been renovated since I last visited. They also sectioned the Bar away from the main dining room and called it the Aquarium Bar. Several large Aquariums are used to divide the Bar from the dining room and the Aquariums can be seen from both sides. They are very pretty and provide a calming and relaxed style of dining. The Bar side also provides the only smoking area in the North Towne Grill & Seafood Restaurant.

As I said, North Towne Grill & Seafood's menu is quite large. They serve a lot of the typical fare you would come to expect at a nice Greek Restaurant. Menu items like Gyros, Souvlaki, Roasted Chicken, and Roasted Leg of Lamb, and Mousaka are all there. And of course various Pasta dishes, Seafood, and Salads as well. Cheryl & I enjoyed the Super Special which gave us the opportunity to sample as much of the North Towne Grill & Seafood Cuisine as we could, but first we had to have the Saganaki appetizer. Saganaki is a Greek dish that isn't found at every Greek Restaurant, but should be. It is a Kasseri Cheese that is melted and served on fire. As they light it they exclaim "Opa!" It also has fresh lemon squeezed on it and is served with Pita Bread. It is very delicious. The Super Special is a Platter of Roasted Chicken, sliced Gyro, grilled Pork Tenderloin, fresh Shrimp, baked Leg of Lamb, Pita Bread, Greek Potatoes, and served with Soup and Greek Salad or a tossed Salad. We chose the Greek Salad of course.

Most of the Super Special Platter was wonderful, especially the Roasted Chicken and the Shrimp. The Chicken was slow Roasted, tender and not dry. The Shrimp was very tasty, but there weren't many of them on the Platter. We counted 3 Shrimp. The rest of the food was a bit dry especially the Greek Potatoes. The Soup that came with the Platter was excellent. The Soup was a Lemon Chicken Soup that had an excellent flavor and texture to it. We also had a glass of the house Retsina which is a dry Greek White Wine that is perfect with a Greek Meal.

Overall, we enjoyed our meal. The North Towne Grill & Seafood Restaurant is a comfortable and elegant place to eat authentic Greek Cuisine.
