Oceanaire Seafood Room
The Oceanaire Seafood Room is a popular high end Seafood Restaurant located in Washington, DC. It is a part of a chain of Restaurants, and I usually do not write about chains, but the Oceanaire Seafood Room is so good, I am making an exception. The Oceanaire has a large selection of Seafood, and a large "Fresh Today" section in the Menu. The Menus are printed everyday and lists all of the Fresh Today selections with the date on the top of the Menu so you know it is fresh. The Oceanaire Seafood Room is very expensive, but the food is absolutely top notch.

Oceanaire Seafood Room Highlights
Selections on the Oceanaire Seafood Room Restaurant Menu includes Shrimp, Clams, Oysters from a variety of locations, Snow Crab Legs, King Salmon, Mahi-Mahi, Sea Bass, Rockfish, Ahi Tuna, Caviar
, Soup, Salads, Steaks, Live Cold Water Lobsters, and much more. The Wine list at Oceanaire Seafood Room is quite extensive as well. As you enter the Restaurant a display greets you that shows a large variety of Wines both domestic and imported. They serve half bottles, full bottles, and Wine by the glass. There is also a full Bar that sells Beer by the bottle and several Beers and Ales on tap, as well as Cocktails etc.
The Oceanaire Seafood Room gets very crowded, and is obviously a local favorite. The wait when I dined there was approximately an hour and 25 minutes. Instead of waiting we went to the Bar and had a Beer to see if we could get a seat at the crowded Bar. While we waited, a server took it upon himself to rearrange the Bar to get us seated. I found that to be very unique and refreshing. The servers at the Oceanaire Seafood Room take the service to the next level. Throughout our meal, they were genuinely concerned with our comfort.
I ordered the Grilled Costa Rican Mahi-Mahi that came with roasted peppers. This Mahi-Mahi was the best I have ever eaten. It was very flavorful even without the peppers. The dishes do not come with any sides, and you can order sides ala cart. Not only are the prices expensive for the main dishes, but the side prices are unbelievable. I ordered the Fresh Sautéed Spinach that cost $9.95 - Ouch! The Spinach was good, and the portion was big. I also sampled the Oceanaire Creamed Corn which was very tasty and sweet.
Overall, the Oceanaire Seafood Room is an excellent Restaurant, and all of their food is top notch. Bring your wallet, the top notch food and impeccable service comes with a price.
