I visited the Olde Downtown Tavern in Downtown Bedford for Monday Night Football. Indianapolis was playing in Jacksonville,
and the local Colts fans were at the Olde Downtown Tavern to root for their team. During Monday Night Football, the Olde Downtown Tavern sends out for
pizzas. To partake in the pizza, all you have to do is buy your first Beer at $5.00. With this purchase you get a wrist band, and then you can eat all you want until
the pizza runs out. The rest of your Beers are at normal price after the initial purchase, so this is a pretty good deal.
The Olde Downtown Tavern is a two room venue. The bar room has 4 TVs, and the other room has a a 10 ft TV screen across the back wall of the room. There are also electronic
games such as Air Hockey, Basketball, an electronic Putting Green, and electronic dart boards. There are also two pool tables. On the weekends they usually have entertainment
there. The bar looks to be very old. The decor is dark mahogany with a lot of detail that you would usually see in Taverns that have been around for
several decades. The people there are friendly, and they have 8 Beers on tap as well as an assortment of bottled
Beers to choose from. They also have a limited menu that has burgers and hot sandwiches as well as a few other appetizers.
The Olde Downtown Tavern is one of a very few places to go in Bedford, IN for Monday Night Football,
Beer and pizza.
