The Old Fort Restaurant is a
charming Family Restaurant located in Cleveland, Tennessee.
The Old Fort has been around Cleveland for over 44 years, and it is
now in it's third location since it started.
The Restaurant is large, roomy,
and homey with light wood and well selected wall decorations
throughout it. There are a few flat screen TVs, but they seem
to be there for local advertising purposes. They have a Bar in the
back, but they do not serve alcohol at the Old Fort Restaurant
though. The Bar came with the place when the bought it about
two years ago. The wait staff are friendly and courteous, and
you do not have to wait long for your food.
The Old Fort Restaurant has a
varied menu offering Homestyle cooking such as Chicken Fried
Steak, Country Style Steak. They also have an assortment of
Sandwiches and side dishes. Everyday, except for Sunday, they
also have a special of the day. Daily specials include Meat
Loaf or Oven Fried Chicken, or Chicken and Dumplings depending on
the day. We ate the Oven Fried Chicken - the Saturday Special.
it was well prepared and had a good crust on it. The Old Fort
Restaurant is a good place to take your family to dinner or even
Lunch. They are also open for Breakfast.
