Pete's of West Pelzer
Pete's of West Pelzer Restaurant is a Mom & Pop Restaurant in the little ol' town of West Pelzer, South Carolina. Pelzer, right next to West Pelzer and separated by a highway, is about a mile long, and West Pelzer seems to be just as small. Cheryl and I were on our way to Duluth, GA and made a short excursion into the South Carolina Country side looking for a little Country Mom & Pop Restaurant and stumbled on Pete's of West Pelzer. Overall , we were disappointed in our food, but the waitress was very friendly, quirky, and fun.

Pete's of West Pelzer Highlights
The menu at Pete's of West Pelzer had a small variety of items to choose from, and the also offered Special Platters. The day we visited Pete's of West Pelzer, the Specials were Hamburger Platter, Cheese Burger Platter ot a Chicken Nugget Platter. All Platters came with Slaw and French Fries. Other Menu items at Pete's of West Pelzer include Catfish Sandwiches and Platters, Shrimp Platters, Deviled Crab Platters, and Combo Platters. There are also Sandwich selections like the Chuck Wagon, BLTs, Chili Burgers and Chili Hotdogs, Grilled Chicken and more. Pete's of west Pelzer also offer Salads too. The waitress claimed that a lot of the things they make there are home made including their Barbecue, but unfortunately they didn't have any when I dined there. The Hamburgers are not hand rolled. They buy paddies, but they aren't frozen.
I ordered a Cheese Burger. It was very bland, and I wasn't happy with it. Cheryl ordered a Chili Burger, and the the Chili looked burnt and out of a can. she had to doctor it up with Catsup and onions and she said it was terrible.
As I mentioned, the Waitress at Pete's of west Pelzer was very friendly and a little quirky, and the other folks working there were very friendly as well. The rest rooms were the smallest I have ever seen in a Restaurant and a little dirty. The door to the men's room opened not quite half way because of the sink. If you have a weight problem and need to use the rest room, you may need to bypass Pete's of West Pelzer. You may not be able to get in there.
Overall, I can't recommend Pete's of West Pelzer Restaurant. It's too bad too because they are a friendly bunch.
