Ray's The Steaks is a no frill Steak House Restaurant located on Clarendon Blvd in the Rosslyn section of Arlington, VA - A suburb of Washington, DC. A clever play on the words Raise The Stakes, the Steaks at Ray's are a step up from your usual Steak House. The cuts are premium, and the taste is absolutely awesome. The Menu includes Chateaubriand, Filet Mignon, Rib Eyes, New York Strips, and my favorite, the Hanger Steak (Onglet). Ray's The Steaks has recently moved from their original tiny place a block over on Wilson Blvd. The new place added a touch of elegance, and quadrupled the number of tables. However, Ray's The Steaks maintained their prices, value, quality, and service
at the new location.

The Menu of Steaks served at Ray's The Steaks are corn-fed, farm-raised Hereford and Angus Beef that is butchered daily on the premises. The prices are reasonable and much cheaper than you would find at any other Washington DC area Steak Houses too. All of the Steaks are served with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach. While you wait for your food to be prepared, they serve you a small bowl of their signature spicy cashews and some bread. At the end of your meal they give you a demitasse cup that is filled half way with their home made hot chocolate.

Parking in the area of Ray's The Steaks is very limited and can be a challenge.

I have visited Ray's The Steaks several times, and each time I order the Hanger Steak. The French call this the Onglet. If prepared properly, it is a tender and rich tasting piece of Beef. Everything is cooked to perfection at Ray's The Steaks. The flavor of the Hanger Steak is always excellent. They sear the Hanger Steak which gives the Steak a nice crunch on the outside and keeps the inside moist and tender. The Hanger Steak is full of flavor and very tender. It is a real pleasure eating this piece of Steak.

If you want a well prepared, tender, and juicy Steak at a reasonable price, then go to Ray's The Steaks. You will be delightfully surprised as I was the first time. I highly recommend Ray's The Steaks in Arlington, VA!
