R Pub

R Pub is a little Sports Bar located in the Crossroads Shopping Center on the corner of Ashley River Road & Sam Rittenberg Blvd in Charleston, SC. It is a very friendly Dive Bar that offers a large Screen TV and lots of other smaller TVs so that you can watch Sports or Play NTN Buzztime Trivia. Most of the little TVs are mounted above the Bar over the heads of the folks sitting at the Bar, but R Pub has a Sports TV center that has the large screen TV in the middle with 3 smaller TVs on each side of it, so if the big game is on, you shouldn't have a problem seeing the game at R Pub.

R Pub also has a small Grill that serves basic Pub Grub like wings. They also have plenty to do there besides watching Sports on TV. They have NTN Buzztime Trivia on several of the TVs throughout the Bar as well. They also have Pool Tables, Electronic Darts, Video Games like Golf and Megatouch, and a Foosball Table. Although the Bar is small, they do have stuff like a Goldschlager dispenser and a Jagermeister dispenser, so as you can imagine, Jagermeister bombs are popular at R Pub.

On Thursday nights you can come out and sing Karaoke with Aaron. I use to work Karaoke with Aaron years ago and he puts on a high energy show. So if you like Karaoke, go see Aaron's show. He's has one of the best Karaoke shows around the Charleston area.

There is one problem with R Pub that I have to mention - the odor. I don't know for sure what it is, but it hits you as soon as you enter the R Pub Bar. I think it may be a mold problem. We were in there last night, and we had to leave because Cheryl was having problems breathing in there. This odor has been around ever since I started going to R Pub about 7 or 8 years ago. I can tolerate it, but they really should rip out the carpets or something. It is really unfortunate, because R Pub is a very friendly place to hang out and has plenty to do while you are there.

Still, I like R Pub. I have always enjoyed myself when I went there. If you can handle the smell, then R Pub is a good place to Play Pool, Watch Sports on TV, sing Karaoke, or just hang out.
