Savannah, GA

Savannah Georgia is a very Historical City on the East Coast of the State of Georgia. Savannah is known for its Ghost Tours, Southern Hospitality, and Entertainment & Partying. Just to the south of Savannah is Historical Tybee Island. The articles listed here are some Fun places to visit in and around Savannah and Tybee Island. I recently spent three days there and had a ball. The Historic River Front is a must see with all of the old Historic buildings that are occupied by various Restaurants, Gift shops, and Bars. At night, the River Front comes alive with Music at many of these establishment. Also, the First Friday night of every month, Savannah offers Fireworks on River Street for the whole family to enjoy. The locals call this "First Friday". You are also allowed to walk down the street with a beverage in your hand as long as it is in a cup. Any Bar or Restaurant will give you a to go cup if you ask.

Savannah is a great place to walk around and take in the sites. General James Edward Oglethorpe, considered to be the father of Savannah designed Savannah as a grid of wide streets with several Squares and Parks. Many of the squares have monuments and other Historical Markers. There are some famous folks buried in these Squares such as Revolutionary War Hero General Nathaniel Greene. There are also many places to get something to eat or drink throughout the Historic District, and if the walk gets to be too much, there are plenty of park benches to take a rest.

You can find my Unbiased Reviews and Opinions on a few places that I have visited in the Savannah, GA & Tybee Island area in the sub menu on the left.
