South End Brewery & Smokehouse Highlights
I love going to South End Brewery for their fresh brewed Beer. The Beer and Ale they brew on the premises range from very light Beers all the way to Stouts. I prefer the Iron Man Wheat. It has a good wheat flavor and goes down easy. If your date doesn't like heavy Beer, then they probably would enjoy the Blonde or Blonde Light that they brew.
The Downtown Charleston location has three floors. The street level floor has the Bar and a small stage where they have Live Music most nights, and a small dining area. The second floor is a dining area, and the top floor has pool tables, and Dart Boards.
On Friday nights they usually have Live Bluegrass Music, and if you are lucky, you may catch Common Ground a local Charleston Bluegrass band that plays there often. Common Ground has opened for big Bluegrass names like Ralph Stanley and the Clinch Mountain Boys. They will get you hopping for sure.
When in Downtown Charleston, a stop at South End Brewery & Smokehouse is a must.
