Tuscan Bistro Pizzeria Ristorante Tuscan Bistro Pizzeria Ristorante is a little Italian Restaurant located near the corner of Dorchester Road on Trolley Road in Summerville, SC. They claim to serve New York Style Pizza, but so does Pizza Hut, Papa John's and Dominoes' Pizza for that matter. Anyone from New York or Northern New Jersey will tell you that none of these places serve real New York Style Pizza, and neither does Tuscan Bistro.

Tuscan Bistro Pizzeria Ristorante Highlights
Cheryl and I went to Tuscan Bistro Pizzeria Ristorante for dinner one night to try the New York Style Pizza. When we went in there, the place was full. Tuscan Bistro is an obvious favorite of the residents of Summerville. We did not wait long for our table though. The atmosphere is Italian, and the wait staff are very friendly and courteous. I noticed that the Pizzas on the kitchen serving counter did look like New York Style Pizza - at first glance, but once we were seated, I noticed a table receiving their Pizza, and I can tell it was too thick and too rigid to be the real deal. I decided not to try it. It seems that folks that do not know any better think that if the crust is thin, then it must be New York Style. Well New York Neapolitan Style Pizza is much more than that. In a New York Style Pizza the crust must be very thin and chewy for starters.
Tuscan Bistro Pizzeria Ristorante also serves sandwiches, subs, Stromboli, Calzones, and other Italian dishes too. I was going to try the Sicilian Pizza which is a square Pizza that is supposed to be thick, but the wait time was a half hour, so Cheryl and I decided to get a couple sandwiches. I ordered the Meatball Sub and Cheryl ordered the Cheese Steak Sandwich. Both were very good. The server was very pleasant and attentive too. I think overall, Tuscan Bistro Pizzeria Ristorante isn't a bad restaurant, and we will most likely visit again. I'm actually looking forward to try one of there Italian dishes.
