University Billiards Club & Grill, also known as just UBC, is a Pool Hall located on
University Blvd in Jacksonville, Florida. UBC offers APA Pool Leagues, Foosball Tournaments, and
occasionally they put on Electronic Dart Tournaments too. They do not have much in the way of food, which allows for them to be a smoking facility.
When I visited University Billiards Club & Grill, I was looking for a friendly Bar that I could enjoy a few Beers and smoke a cigarette in a section of Jacksonville I was not
familiar with.
I stumbled upon UBC. University Billiards Club & Grill is a very large Dive-Bar Pool Hall. UBC has 17 Regulation size Pool Tables where you can rent the Billiards for about $4.00 per person.
UBC also has about 5 or 6 Foosball Tables, 11 or so TVs, and about 5 Electronic Dart Boards.
I found the prices for Beer and Pool were reasonable, and the staff was very friendly at University Billiards Club & Grill. I classify UBC as a Dive, and with that you can expect
a lower level of cleanliness that you can expect at a regular Sports Bar. I generally like Dive Bars, and I do like University Billiards Club & Grill. Dives tend to be down to earth,
friendly,
and inexpensive. UBC is no exception.
If you are looking for a place to have a few drinks, or if you want
to play Pool, whether in an APA Pool League or just amongst friends, then check out University Billiards
Club & Grill. Just remember, UBC is a Dive, but a friendly and cheap place to hang out.
