Roof Top Bar at Vendue Inn


The Vendue Inn Roof Top Bar is located on Vendue Range by Charleston Waterfront Park. Vendue Range and Charleston Waterfront Park is just a couple of blocks from Historic Market Street in Downtown Charleston. It is a beautiful bar that sits on top of the Vendue inn and is a favorite local stop when shopping or bar-hopping in the Market Street area.

Cheryl and I visited the Roof Top Bar on a beautiful sunny Fall day and enjoyed a couple of beers and their famous Spinach Dip. The Spinach Dip is creamy and served with baked corn chips. The Spinach Dip was very enjoyable, and the day was absolutely gorgeous. On warm sunny days, you can expect a crowd at the Roof Top Bar. When we were there, every table was full. We got lucky and got the only table open at the time.

The Roof Top Bar has recently been renovated. They tore down the old bar which was very small and put in a deck and covered bar. I think the bar is now three times it's old size. One bad thing that has occurred is that a building was recently built between the Vendue Inn and the Charleston Harbor, so the view has been spoiled significantly. It is still a very nice place to go on a sunny day or warm evening. They also offer live music every night for a nice evening under the stars.
