Wet Willie's

Wet Willie's is a southern franchise chain of Frozen Daiquiri Bars. You can find one in almost every southern city. The one in Downtown Charleston is located on East Bay Street a couple of blocks from Historic Market Street in Downtown Charleston. They offer a large assortment of Frozen Daiquiris and also serve beer. Credit Cards are not accepted at Wet Willie's. They also have Live Music during the afternoon, and on the weekends you can catch a DJ spinning up music. They play a lot of Disco there, so it is always a good dance party time.

Cheryl and I recently visited the Downtown Charleston Wet Willies and ordered a couple of their Daiquiris. I had the Call A Cab which is made with Grain Alcohol, and Cheryl ordered the Chocolate Thunder which is made with Vodka. The Chocolate Thunder tasted just like a Fudge Sickle. I am more of a beer drinker, but whenever I go Downtown Charleston, I always make my way to wet willies for on Frozen Daiquiri before moving on to the other places in and around Historic Market Street.

The Downtown Charleston location is a very narrow Bar which can get crowded very quickly. There never seems to be enough tables and chairs to accommodate people either. It's still fun to go there and have a drink, just go slow, brain freezes are a common occurrence at Wet Willie's.
